Water usage above the seasonal average at a residence or business could be a sign of a leak. In such cases, Paducah Water will review a customer’s account to determine eligibility for a leak adjustment. Leak adjustments are allowed once every twelve months and no adjustment will be provided until the customer submits proof that the leak has been repaired. Acceptable documentation of repair includes a plumber’s invoice or receipts of purchase for repair materials. Documentation must include the date repaired, materials used and the location of the leak in the plumbing system.
The adjustment will be figured at the Customer Service Supervisor’s discretion based on the customer’s seasonal average usage. PW will grant up to 50% of the water usage and 100% of the sewer costs above the customer’s seasonal average and give an adjustment for that cost. The customer will be responsible for any remaining charges.
