Paducah Water’s Distribution Department was Kentucky’s 2018 winner of the American Water Works Association KY/TN Section Award of Excellence in Distribution System Operations in the Medium Systems Category!

Paducah Water’s distribution system, like others across the country, consists of an interconnected series of pipes, water storage facilities, pumps, valves, and hydrants. These components create the infrastructure needed to send clean water from our treatment facility to the homes and businesses we serve.

Public water utilities depend on distribution systems to deliver an uninterrupted supply of pressurized, safe drinking water to all consumers, while also providing fire protection throughout the service area. Our distribution team is constantly working to keep our water infrastructure in excellent condition to maintain our standards of reliability.

OUR MISSION

Recognizing the distinct and unyielding human need for water, Paducah Water holds as its fundamental mission the supply of high-quality drinking water to its customers in Paducah and McCracken, Graves, and Marshall Counties. In order to meet this mandate, resources will be devoted to the treatment, storage, and distribution of water. Paducah Water is further committed to the delivery of water at the most economic cost possible and to the advancement of local economic development through the promotion and sale of a reliable supply of water.

Paducah Water is a municipally owned water treatment and distribution utility. We have served Paducah, McCracken County and the surrounding area for more than 130 years by providing clean, clear water. Our treatment facility can produce nearly 20 million gallons of water per day and consistently meets or beats state regulatory requirements for water treatment.
