The American Water Works Association Kentucky/Tennessee Section gives this distinct honor based on management, records, appearance, and the results of a thorough assessment by the Honors & Awards Committee. Paducah Water’s Distribution Department is Kentucky’s 2018 winner in the Medium Systems category (10,000 – 33,000 service connections).

Permit to expand treatment plant capacity [Permit]

Permitted to increase water flow capacity from 12M to 19.9M gallons per day Awarded by Kentucky Division of Water Published by Paducah Sun on 4/26/2007 No other plant in KY received permit to increase capacity by as much (approx 60%); increased capacity came w/o increasing water rates, expanding facility or spending money.
