Met the program goals of a "totally optimized plant" for turbidity/microbial removal Awarded by KDOW

 

2006

Permit to expand treatment plant capacity [Permit]

Permitted to increase water flow capacity from 12M to 19.9M gallons per day Awarded by Kentucky Division of Water Published by Paducah Sun on 4/26/2007 No other plant in KY received permit to increase capacity by as much (approx 60%); increased capacity came w/o increasing water rates, expanding facility or spending money

Exemplary Consumer Confidence Report - Medium Ground Water System Awarded by US Environmental Protection Agency

 

Outstanding Operations Award [State Recognition]

Outstanding operation of water treatment facility Awarded by KWWOA

Participated in Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) which challenges plants to reduce turbidity Awarded by Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet Published by http://migration.kentucky.gov/Newsroom/water/DOWAWOPAWARDS.htm 32 of 156 treatment plants in KY were recognized because of their demonstrated success in producing water that consistently meets or exceeds state water quality standards.

 

2009

Participated in Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) which challenges plants to reduce turbidity Awarded by Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet Published by Paducah Sun on 5/4/2009 32 of 156 treatment plants in KY were recognized because of their demonstrated success in producing water that consistently meets or exceeds state water quality standards.

 

2010

Participated in Area-Wide Optimization Program (AWOP) which challenges plants to reduce turbidity Awarded by Environmental and Public Protection Cabinet
