About Us
Paducah Water is the largest
municipal water system in Western
Kentucky with more than 22,000 customers. Every day, we deliver an average of 6.5 million gallons of water through more than 390 miles of water main to customers in our Paducah system. Our Reidland/Marshall County system's
customers are served each day through
more than 83 miles of main with an average of 745,000 gallons of water.

Customers of the Paducah system are supplied water through a surface water source, the Tennessee and Ohio Rivers. Water is treated at its 12 million gallon a day water treatment plant. This plant was placed in service in early 1984.

Customers of the Reidland/Marshall County system are supplied water through seven wells. These wells are considered to be a groundwater source. Water is treated at PW's Reidland Plant which has a total capacity of 2 million gallons a day. This plant was placed in service in 1987 and was formerly known as the Reidland Water District system.

To ensure the highest quality water, PW operates an Environmental Protection Agency Certified laboratory certified in the fields of Microbiology and fluoride. Our in-house certified laboratory performs an average of 250 water quality tests monthly in both the Paducah and Reidland service areas. Our in-house lab, which is operated by certified operators, runs an average of 250 tests daily. An outside certified laboratory performs over 80 of the required EPA tests yearly along with an average of 19 routine tests monthly. This helps to ensure the water that flows from your tap meets or exceeds the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations.
